Age: 19
Character: Miranda Lotto
Series: D.Gray-man
Character Age: 25
Job: Trail Guide
Canon: D.Gray-man is set in a fictional Victorian-era, centered around a secretive, Vatican-run organization known as the Black Order that works tirelessly to fight against a perpetually grinning, evil man known as the Millennium Earl and his super-powered followers the "Noah" who want to bring an end to humanity. The Black Order's soldiers, known as Exorcists, are a motley crew with one thing in common: they all wield a mysterious, ancient substance known as "Innocence" that can be turned into amazing weapons with supremely destructive power!!!
...Unless you're Miranda. Miranda is different from her comrades, in that she's the only known defensive Exorcist. She's also "special" in the most socially awkward, spastic and fail-rific sense of the word: a stuttering, chronically luckless bundle of nerves and self-doubt with her heart in the right place and two left feet. Before becoming an exorcist she was fired from over 100 jobs, and even when she's doing something right she tends to apologize like crazy. In even the simplest of situations she'll fluster and flutter and fail like you wouldn't believe, but in the end she keeps on going, because that's what Miranda does. For good or ill, the phrase "give up" just isn't in her vocabulary.

I really don't know if I'm meant to be here. I mean I know it's a mistake I was sent here, I was going on a mission for the Order when I ended up here. Unless this is the Order's way of saying they don't need me anymore... Not that I could blame them! But I don't know if I'm any good at what I'm supposed to be doing here. The director was kind enough to give me a job, with a field guide and even a map so I don't get lost when I'm leading the campers around the trails, but I still seem to mess up! I don't mean to be ungrateful but I really think I'm no good...
Like today, for instance. Today I took the campers on a hike around the lake, or tried to at least. It started out alright, I really think it did! One of the camper's arms fell off but the director had told me that's normal, so we kept going. We saw the giant squid- ah, Marcy- and she wrapped up one of the campers in her tentacles but the director had said that's normal too and the camper didn't seem to mind either, he kept saying "Iyaaan, Marcy~!" ...I-it was still kind of worrisome. Anyways we kept going, and sometimes we had to stop when one of the campers got stuck in the quicksand but they always got out!
Then I think I must've taken a wrong turn, because instead of going around the lake we ended up in the forest, and I must be truly terrible at my job because I lost the entire group of campers... All of them, I'm so useless! And then the forest got really quiet, and I felt something on my leg and I looked down and there was a vine wrapped around it. I tried to get it off but it just crawled up further and v-vines should not go there, it was scary! And it strung me up and held me upside down; I'm such a failure even plants dislike me! I had to wait until a camper came by and shot the poor thing to get me down, and I almost fell on the camper that saved me! I'm a terrible guide!
But... I suppose I really can't give up. The director must have given me this job for a reason, and I have to do my best for the campers. They're depending on me not to mess up and get lost again and to lead them through the trails. So... I'll keep going! Even if means having to go through those vines again, or f-f-fighting off zombies... I won't give up!
